I posted this shot on one of my photography boards, and it only got a few responses. Which surprised me because I LOVE this shot. It's funny how when you take a picture and see it through from start to finish, the meaning is so different than someone who just views it. For example, this shot was a culmination of reading the Bryan Peterson book and reading about backlighting and how to do silouetttes (sp? too lazy to look it up), and conciously making an effort to use the technique. On top of that, this was shot on my Canon Ae-1 (50mm 1.8 lens) and then developed by hand in the darkroom. That in itself adds meaning to me. I love the instant feedback of digital, but theres something about taking a photo from the shot to the end print by yourself that makes you feel like a REAL photographer LoL. Anyway, this is the first of my film images to share, I have quite a few that I've scanned, but my negative scanner is not great quality. I think I may send the negatives to be printed and see how the prints come back.
