![]() I'm sure there's some law about taking pictures in a governmental building, so I was scared to even ask about it. I'd love to do a series in the library though. Our library hasn't changed much since I was going when I was a little kid. The second you walk in the door there's a distinctive smell, that transports me back to my childhood. My mom, brothers, and I would walk down to the library and return with baskets full of books. I remember many summers that we participated in the summer reading drive. One of my very favorite books was 'Half Magic' by Edward Eager I must have read it dozens of times. I remember the one from the library had an hardback, orange 70s-ish cover, with a picture of a little girl that was half girl/half knight. I also loved Anne of Green Gables and Betsy and Tacy books. The love of reading is something that I'm very glad my mom helped us develop, and I hope to do the same with Lilly. She already bugs us to take her to the 'Strawberry' (I think it's cute that she calls it that, so I don't correct her). Today she picked out 5 books that Sam has already read to her 3 times. I did sneak some pics of her reading some books, I'll share them tomorrow. ISO: 800 Shutter: 1/250 Aperture: 2.8 Focal Length: 50.0mm | |
