This is my grandpa, or as we called him, Pops. He died in 1996, so Lilly never got the chance to get to know him, which is sad. I credit my love of and talent for photography to him. When my mom was young he was an avid photographer and even had a darkroom in the basement of their house. We've found boxes and boxes of old 120 size negatives and more boxes filled with prints. A lot of my mom and aunt as children and some of my grandma as well. His subjects varied from portraits to city scenes to macros, I don't know if he had a favorite. I have developed a few of his negatives in the college darkroom, but haven't had the time to really go through them all. I do plan to do it eventually. I even have his old Rolleiflex, but I'm afraid to run film through it, I don't know how to use it! I didn't get into photography until after he had died, and I really wish I would have shown an intrest in it earlier, I'm sure he would have loved to talk 'shop' with me about it.
